  • Please note, weather in Charleston is constantly in flux. If we do get rain it does one of two things; it rains for 15 to 30 minutes and then it’s gone or it sits on top of us all day.

No need to worry. If there’s a major weather system, be assured we’re watching it! Otherwise we don’t bother with the forecast until the day before or morning of your charter. Forecasts are notoriously wrong, and the Capt’s have the best weather apps with the latest technology for current conditions. Sometimes we wait out a little weather and delay the departure a bit. Very rarely we have to cancel, if we do it is on Capt’s call day of the charter. We always try to reschedule first if there’s availability, if not possible your payment is fully refunded. Safety is first, we do not go out in unsafe conditions as determined by lightening activity or unsafe wind speeds. We also don’t cancel because it might sprinkle.

  • Kindly call/text Capt. Bradley at (843)367-6287 , ideally before you are actually late. It’s a private charter so we’ll wait for you. Due to scheduling we likely can’t make up more than 5-10 min at the end of your allotted time but we’ll get you out and make the most of the time we have with you! Traffic can be unpredictable in the Charleston. And travel times can be much longer than you expect. Please plan accordingly in allocating time to get to our dock location.

  • Cancellation by phone more than 48 hours in advance, will get you a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours 50% of the charter price will be due and forfeited. Cancellations due to weather are made at the Captain’s discretion and are usually made on the day of. If your trip is cancelled due to weather you will receive a full refund.

  • It’s advised to use the restroom before departing any trip. Guys have it easier for boat-side relief, but if there’s a will, there’s a way for the ladies too! Captains are used to eyes forward, if someone needs a moment at the back of the boat. While it’s a common concern, it’s never an issue. We may also stop at a nearby marina if preferred, although this does take some time away from the trip.

  • Please remember that your captain wants you to catch fish just as bad, if not more, than you do. Even a fish-less day involves a lot of work and preparation for your captain. Showing your appreciation through additional gratuity is respected and remembered by your guide. An appropriate tip can start around $100 per day. If you feel you had an excellent experience and want to tip more, please feel free to do so.

  • Charleston gets pretty hot in the summer and the UV index can get quite high. We find that long light layers are best for sun protection. Ultimately wear something you're comfortable in, but that also offers some protection from the elements.

Feel free to bring a bathing suit to have a dip and cool off if time allows.

Dark billed hats and polarized sunglasses reduce glare and can help when sight casting fish.

A light rain jacket in case a shower or two is in the forecast.

Shoes should be comfortable and non-marring.

During the fall and winter months it's all about layers. Cold mornings to warm afternoons. Dress warm and shed some layers as the day progresses. Keep in mind it may be cooler on the water with the wind blowing than when landlocked.

  • On weekdays there is usually ample car parking on site.

On weekends or if there are multiple people in your group, carpooling or ride-sharing is advised.

Be sure to park in single car spaces. Please, avoid parking in elongated boat trailer spaces. Parking in boat trailer spaces may incur fines.

  • Payments are accepted day of trip. Please provide Cash, Check, or Venmo. Credit Card payments are accepted as well, but please note there is a 4% processing fee for this method.
